People Save A Disabled Puppy That Was Chained To An Old Truck And Left To Starve For More Than A Week
Duke’s story starts with a cruelty that is hard to shake, a young dog chained to an old truck and left to suffer for days. By the time help arrived, he was weak, filthy, flea-ridden, and barely able to stand.
The 10-month-old pup had been abandoned without food or water, and his broken legs made the situation even worse. But then a local rescuer and the Rudozem Street Dog Rescue stepped in, and everything began to change for him.
What happened next gave Duke the kind of ending every neglected animal deserves.
Duke, a 10-month-old dog, was chained to an old truck and left to die

Without food and water for ten days, the dog was extremely underweight and could barely stand

"He was OK when I approached him initially. But you could see that fear in the way he moved and the way he backed away for those first few weeks," Rowles told the reporters. "He really made an attachment with my wife, Diane. He just loved Diane."
His legs were broken

Duke underwent a surgical procedure to fix his feet and was soon able to walk around. Sometimes the scars on the soul are the hardest to heal.
But luckily, Duke won’t have that problem. He will learn to trust humans again in no time because he was adopted by one of the kindest women in the UK.
One kind woman and the Rudozem Street Dog Rescue saved him

It echoes Diesel’s case, where a rescue angel liberated the dog chained in cold for 4 years.
His journey to recovery was about to start

Since the shelter was full, Duke was taken to a volunteer's home.

And he started to trust humans again

Duke had surgery to fix his feet

And now can walk again

After enduring so much hardship, Duke now has a loving home and a happy ending!
He was adopted by a kind woman

And now has a loving home

Well, this is a true happy ending, just like we’ve promised. But, unfortunately, many animals out there don’t get their happy ending.
It’s incredible how cruel we can be to animals. The way we treat each other is no better.
Luckily, we have people who are willing to step up and help these poor animals, like the heroes in our story.
Thanks to Rudozem Street Dog Rescue, Duke now has a loving home. We wish them all the best and hope for less work in the future.
