Indonesian Photographer Captures Adorable Pictures Of Frogs Hugging In Rain
Some photographers wait for the perfect shot, and Ajar Setiadi has built his work around that kind of patience. The Indonesian nature photographer has spent years watching reptiles, insects, birds, and frogs through his camera lens, always ready for a moment most people would miss.
He grew up in Bogor, Indonesia, where wildlife was never far away, and he used that access to document tiny scenes in nature with remarkable care. Over time, that steady approach has led to images that feel surprisingly intimate, including one rainy-day moment that stands out from the rest.
This time, a frog, a flower, and a little bad weather created something unforgettable. Read on.
The amount of time he has spent behind the camera has made him an expert in capturing the emotions of these wild creatures as well as those of human beings.
Setiadi's favorite subject is the white tree frogs during the rainy season. These frogs are also called dumpy tree frogs, and they like to cover themselves with foliage whenever it rains.

At one such time, when it was raining, he saw a frog taking shelter under a flower that almost looked like an umbrella.
He immediately took its picture. His experience has taught him how precious these small moments are.
Setiadi said, “I could only get a few frames because this moment can't be repeated.”

It requires keen observation and an eye for detail, along with patience, to capture these moments.
Setiadi always finds the whole effort worthwhile. He says:
“I let [the animals] act. I'm just waiting for the best moment.”
He doesn't mind a little rain and dirt if he gets to watch the wonders of nature so closely.
