Pink Pug Named Milkshake Is Rare, Being One In Less Than A Hundred That Exist
Most pug dogs are fawn with black accents, "apricot" (with orange undertones), or black. Some pug dogs are even silver, but the rarest pug of them all is the pink pug.
Meet Milkshake, an adorable, 17 month old, pink pug from London. His irresistible squishy face, and his ocean blue eyes were not the first features 33yo Maria noticed when she first laid eyes on him when he was only 10 weeks old.
In fact, it was actually his blush pink fur-coat. He is one of less than 100 pink pugs in the entire world, and his unique coloring is actually caused by a lack of pigmentation.
He inherited it from an albino pug somewhere along his lineage. Talk about an unusual dog!
Since Maria chose little Milkshake as her bestie, he's gone viral and become Instagram famous with more than 55k followers.

Maria commented about her little love bug:
"I had never even heard of pink pugs before, but when I went to the breeder and spotted Milkshake I thought he was adorable, and knew I had to have him."
"They’re very rare. At the time, I think Milkshake was one of 30 in the world but there have been a few litters. There’s no more than 100 worldwide."
"He’s not actually albino – he just has the coloring so he doesn’t suffer from any sight loss or hearing loss. He’s a happy healthy boy."

Milkshake's loving owner has described him as happy-go-lucky, quirky, and oh so friendly. She added that he's also 'very spoiled' as he's treated with weekly visits to the dog spa. There he receives pedicures just before getting all dressed up in dog-gon' adorable outfits for photo shoots. Then Maria gives him chicken as a reward.
Maria also brings Milkshake along to her work meetings as well.
Not only that, but in addition Milkshake participates in national dog shows and even has his own personal trainer, who is working with him so that he can eventually feature in films and adverts in the upcoming future.
