Earth's Most Interesting Cold-Blooded Animals Photographed Over 30 Years
Matthijs Kuijpers has spent nearly three decades photographing amphibians and reptiles, and the result is a striking look at some of Earth’s most unusual cold-blooded animals. His work captures color, texture, and detail in species that are often overlooked, or feared.
That long-running project became Cold Instinct, a book built from thousands of images taken around the world. It brings together 70 standout photographs from a portfolio that spans roughly 1,500 species, including many that are endangered.
These images make a strong case for looking at reptiles and amphibians a little differently. Read on.
