A dumped dog with broken legs was left lying in the cold at a construction site, and one passerby refused to walk away.
Stray Rescue of St. Louis stepped in after the caller spotted the injured Beagle/Hound mix, who could not get up and appeared to have been there for days. What followed was a fast rescue, a vet visit, and a race to get her the surgery she needed.
Her recovery story is a painful reminder of how quickly cruelty can turn into hope.
A Cute Beagle/Hound Mix Was Found at a Construction Site
He promptly called for assistance, and Stray Rescue of St. Louis responded and rescued the dog. Before they arrived, the caller had done what he could to assist the dog, lending his coat as a cover.
She Appeared to Have Been Lying in the Cold and Dirt for a Couple of Days
She had visible broken legs and was taken into the jeep without making a sound. They rushed her to the vet clinic, where they discovered that the young dog had multiple fractures in both of her legs.
Stray Rescue of St. Louis Came to the Scene and Rescued the Dog
Unfortunately, the damage was severe, and they needed to raise funds to have surgery to fix her broken legs. A GoFundMe account was set up on the dog’s behalf, and people were generous enough to contribute money for her surgery.

It Was Obvious She Had Broken Legs Before She Was Taken into the Jeep
Before the dog was rescued, her future looked bleak. But now, she can run and play on her four legs, and hopefully, she will be adopted by a loving family that will care for her from now on.

While horrible dog owners are busy mistreating and even abandoning their dogs, many more good Samaritans and rescue organizations are actively rescuing these dogs and providing them with the priceless opportunity to live their best lives.
