Moment 47 Flemish Giant Domestic Rabbits Were Rescued And Are Now Searching For A Permanent Home
In general, an animal shelter would be thrilled to learn about neglected animals so that they could quickly offer aid and support. However, the rescue team in today's story was alarmed by what they discovered when they found the animals.
The RSPCA was called and informed about a group of rabbits that required assistance and proper care. The rescue crew expected to assist a few cute bunnies, but they were shocked to discover 47 large animals living in a small, filthy space.
The largest of the rabbits might have been the size of a Jack Russell Terrier. The rabbits were Flemish Giants, the largest domestic breed in the world.
The space in the cage where those large animals were housed was insufficient for their daily activities. Additionally, they were denied access to adequate sanitary and medical treatment.
They were taken to a veterinary facility by the rescuers for examinations and assessments. Except for one fluffy giant who had vision issues and a wound behind his neck, the majority of the other fluffy giants were healthy.
Yes, giant rabbits do make great pets. They are fun to own because of their gigantic stature and larger-than-life personalities.
However, they have their own unique requirements and potential issues, so it's crucial to ensure you can meet them before getting one.
The rescue team found 47 enormous individuals living together in a cramped, dirty place

Trevor Walker, an inspector with the RSPCA, said:
“These poor rabbits were living in cramped and dirty conditions, which would have been very unpleasant for them, especially in the heat. Luckily, a vet found that they are all in good condition — one is on medication for weepy eyes and a wound on the back of his neck.”

The RSPCA provided all the bunnies with loving care until they were in optimal shape. The RSPCA wanted to place them with good owners in permanent homes where they could lead happy lives.
The Flemish Giants were renowned for being placid and tolerant, despite their enormous size. As a result, the shelter felt confident that the bunnies would make excellent pets.
The rescue workers took them to a vet clinic for check-ups and evaluations

Walker says that they hope they'll find loving homes. “They will make good companion animals with a nice temperament.”
Owners may make those enormous rabbits their best buddies with enough time and thorough knowledge. Raising a cute rabbit and cuddling their enormous soft fur whenever you need a big hug would be wonderful.
The Flemish giants were well-known for their docile and tolerant disposition
