Shepherd's Flock Helps Him Send A Special Message To His Late Aunt
Ben Jackson wanted to do something simple, but deeply personal, after his aunt died and COVID restrictions kept him from attending her funeral. Instead of making the trip to Brisbane, the sheep farmer from Guyra, NSW, turned his paddock into a tribute and used a drone to capture the moment his flock formed a heart.
He spread sheep feed across the field, hoping the animals would gather in just the right shape. It was his way of saying goodbye when borders, quarantine, and distance made that impossible.
The result was a moving message from a nephew who could not be there in person, but still found a way to be seen.
"It seemed like a pretty good idea to share the love," Ben said.

This is similar to a dying veteran’s final wish to see his dog, which touched everyone.
"I just hope that when I did it, she was having a peek through the clouds and was able to see it."

"I just miss my aunty," the sheep farmer said.
