There are a few attributes associated with chihuahuas. They are renowned for being adorable little bag dogs.
For such a tiny little animal, they are known to be aggressive, very protective, and to bark a lot. They seem to bark continually and for no apparent reason.
Although it is common and correctable, this type of behavior is deeply embedded in their innate tendencies. Because they don't get enough exercise during the day, chihuahuas have high levels of energy that must be expended in some way.
They frequently channel that extra energy into a loud, monotonous bark. We guess the OP's family didn't mind that their dog yaped, as it was stated that she’s nice, not mean or anything, just loud and startles easily.
The OP also mentioned that he has a procrastination issue. So on one faithful night when he got out of the shower, he noticed that the laundry door was open and decided to close it.
The first door was an old sliding door, so it makes a lot of noise. He succeeded in closing that one but the second laundry door, which is to the laundry room from the hallway was also loud, so he had to slam it a bit.

When you open or close a door at your house, does it make a cracking noise each time? The rubbing of wood against the wood might be the cause of this.
