Blind And Deaf Dog Gets Rescued And Waits For The Day’s End So He Can Sniff Around For His Mom
Dogs with special needs can change people's lives in many different ways, but it is important to remain calm and continue to search for options that are available to you. Ensure that your lifestyle works well for you and your pup.
Before you start caring for a dog with special needs, it’s important to anticipate changes that may cause him problems or confusion and to avoid them whenever necessary. Tamale is a special-needs dog who can’t wait for the day to end so that he can spend time with the most special person in the whole world, and that's his mother.
Tamale's mother goes by the name Kayleigh Otstot, and she says that her dog "always gets super excited when I get home from work and will sniff around the house until he finds me." The dog also does this with other individuals who come to visit, as he is a people person.
The double merle Australian shepherd mix was born blind and deaf but still knows some places by memory, including the local candy store. The store is where he gets "pup cups, a small cup of whipped cream from his favorite employees."
But when it comes to looking for Otstot, he does more investigative work by making use of his nose.
Meet the double merle Australian shepherd-mix, Tamale

The three-year-old Tamale is just like any other dog who sees and hears, except that this cute dog uses his other senses. Kayleigh has been taking care of him since he was four months old.
Tamale loves going on long walks; he also enjoys swimming and playing with his little puppy brother, Kiwi.
"He always gets super excited when I get home from work and will sniff around the house until he finds me"

Otstot says having Tamale has changed her life. "He has made me so much more outgoing because I love taking him out of the house to help him become more confident and social," Otstot added.
Even though many people might think that having a special-needs dog would slow you down or even slow the dog down, Tamale has proven to be different. Tamale’s mom also mentioned that some people would not even think he was deaf and blind because of how confident he is and how well he gets around with people.

Before bringing home a special-needs dog such as Tamale, you will want to do your research. Depending on the dog and the circumstances surrounding the pet, he may require more or less assistance on a daily basis.
One of the best methods for obtaining medical information about your dog’s health is by talking with your veterinarian. This will provide you with more information on how to take better care of the dog.
