Blind And Deaf Dog Gets Rescued And Waits For The Day’s End So He Can Sniff Around For His Mom
Tamale does not need sight or hearing to know when his favorite person is close by. The blind and deaf Australian shepherd mix has turned sniffing around the house into a daily mission, and his reunion routine with his mom is as sweet as it gets.
Kayleigh Otstot has cared for Tamale since he was four months old, and the special-needs dog has grown into a confident, social pup who loves walks, swimming, and time with his little brother, Kiwi. He also remembers familiar places, including the local candy store, where he gets his favorite pup cups.
But when it comes to finding Otstot, Tamale always trusts his nose first. Read on.
Meet the double merle Australian shepherd-mix, Tamale

The three-year-old Tamale is just like any other dog who sees and hears, except that this cute dog uses his other senses. Kayleigh has been taking care of him since he was four months old.
Tamale loves going on long walks; he also enjoys swimming and playing with his little puppy brother, Kiwi.
"He always gets super excited when I get home from work and will sniff around the house until he finds me"

Otstot says having Tamale has changed her life. "He has made me so much more outgoing because I love taking him out of the house to help him become more confident and social," Otstot added.
Even though many people might think that having a special-needs dog would slow you down or even slow the dog down, Tamale has proven to be different. Tamale’s mom also mentioned that some people would not even think he was deaf and blind because of how confident he is and how well he gets around with people.
This is similar to the visually impaired Staffie finding a guide and lifelong companion.
A sweet routine like this is hard not to smile at.
