Cat Sanctuary for Unwanted/Surplus Animals That Took in a Pair of Rusty-Spotted Cats Announces They Have Two Adorable Cubs
Rare wild cats do not often make headlines, but Porfell Wildlife Park and Sanctuary in Cornwall has a new reason to celebrate. A pair of rusty-spotted cats has welcomed two cubs, and the tiny newcomers are already drawing attention online.
The sanctuary is part of a breeding program for the endangered species, which is native to India and Sri Lanka. With the park still dealing with pandemic-related closures and financial strain, the birth of the cubs has become a bright spot for both the staff and the people following along on social media.
Now the little family is stealing the spotlight, and the photos are hard to ignore.
The sanctuary's original announcement:

The babies are only 8 weeks old and are already eager to start exploring their surroundings, while their mom constantly ensures that no harm comes to them.

Rusty-spotted cats are native to India and Sri Lanka, and the species is unfortunately classified as endangered. The Rusty-Spotted Cat Conservation Breeding Program was initiated to protect the species, and the birth of the two cubs was part of that initiative.

The sanctuary is currently closed due to the coronavirus lockdown and now exclusively shares news of its new guests through social media. The Porfell Wildlife Park and Sanctuary is struggling financially due to the pandemic.
You can support them by donating to their GoFundMe campaign.
This is similar to Craig rescuing “stray puppies,” only to find the truth in their Facebook posts.
