This Kitten in Foster Care Has Everyone's Heart Melting Because of Her Big Eyes
Foster care is an incredible initiative created for the care of abandoned animals, and we see success stories from it all the time. These stories are sure to tug at your heartstrings, and this one is no different.
We'll be diving into the story of this little black kitten with the most adorable eyes. This kitten, named Sprout, was taken into foster care, but things weren't looking great as her five-week mark approached.
She was behind and not thriving well in her condition, but that didn't stop her or the foster care center from giving up. When Sprout was brought in, she weighed only 350 grams, which is half of what a normal kitten should weigh, so it's safe to say that she needed all the TLC she could get.
She's a very fluffy cat, which surprised them regarding her weight, but they knew exactly what to do when they realized her condition. We are very excited to dive into this story and discuss the journey that this cute little kitten has been on.

Amber was the one looking after this precious kitten most of the time.
Amber shared her experience after they brought Sprout in, saying, "I have to say that a couple of times throughout the night, I had to give her a little nudge just to check if she was still with us."
This kitten had absolutely no interest in eating.
The concern was that Sprout didn't want to eat at all, which is a common issue that foster care systems face, so this wasn't anything new for Amber. She knew exactly what to do, but she mentioned that getting this little kitten to eat something wasn't fun at all.
The great news is that Amber definitely had the right idea because by the next morning, Sprout was eating all by herself. This is when they noticed her putting on healthy weight.
Sprout's eyes were her most noticeable feature.
Sprout may be an adorable, fluffy kitten with a kind heart, but what most people noticed first about her were her huge, beautiful eyes. This kitten takes "puppy dog eyes" to a whole new level and meaning.
Now that Sprout is eating properly and gaining healthy weight, she'll be ready for adoption in no time. We are also sure that she won't have any problems getting adopted because of how absolutely adorable her eyes are.
Here's what else Amber had to say about Sprout's personality: "She is a cheeky little girl who loves to sneak attack the other kittens and run around with her tail straight up in the air."
This kitten has come a long way, and we are very proud of her.
When playtime is over, though, Amber told Love Meow, "At night, it’s all about the cuddles, and she will climb up onto the bed, snuggle up under the blanket, and purr all night long."
