Dog Decided On The Strangest Place To Play Peek-A-Boo
Lili is the kind of puppy who treats every day like a new game, and her latest stunt is proof she never runs out of ideas.
Her mom, Stephanie Williams, has watched Lili turn agility classes into comedy and even figure out how to escape a closed kennel by testing every weak spot she could find. That curiosity eventually led to a hiding place so unusual it was almost impossible to spot at first.
And once Lili picked her spot, she committed to the bit.

Some time ago, Lili had surgery, and because of that, she had to wear a cone. During this time, she was looking for ways to get rid of the cone. Lili's mom planned to keep her in her bedroom while she had the cone on, as it was unable to fit her in her kennel with the cone. Lili wasn't happy at the prospect of being closed up in the room, and having the cone on only made matters worse. While she was in there and couldn't figure out a way to get rid of the cone, she decided to find an activity to keep her mind off of it.
“I opened my bedroom door to see Lili with her cone on, but foam scattered everywhere,” Williams shared. “She dug a hole in the mattress… I re-stuffed my mattress to the best of my ability, put a mattress pad over it, and thought this problem was temporarily resolved.”

Williams thought that this was over, so she almost forgot about it. One day, after a few months had passed since this incident, she was doing laundry and took off her mattress pad and sheets to wash. On her way out of the bedroom, she left the door open. Upon her return to the room, she witnessed something strange. There was a pair of eyes staring at her from the hole in the mattress. Only the eyes were visible; the rest was inside the mattress. Realizing what she was seeing, she had a fit of laughter.
This is the same kind of miracle as the couple who lost their dog in a freak accident and got him back two weeks later.

“When I walked into my room and turned the light on, I saw a giant lump in my mattress,” Williams said. “It was Lili. She crawled into the hole she created months earlier.”
Since Lili's cone was off now, she decided to try to get inside it and actually fit perfectly. She looked so happy, stuffed inside the mattress, all cozy and snuggly. It looked like she was playing a game of peek-a-boo, and it was the perfect place for hiding, rather camouflaging. However, she wasn't too happy when her mom made her get out of the mattress.

“I grabbed my camera and took a couple of pictures of her inside the mattress and recorded her venture out of the mattress,” Williams remarked. “She did seem quite cozy in her little burrow that she had created. I wasn’t upset with her; the damage was already done from her digging the hole.”

Although Lili has always been very creative, this will always remain her best project so far.
Wait, “digging next to a gravestone” gets crazier when you see what happened to her puppies.
