But did you know that they have more tricks up their sleeves? Just like this dog who impressed people with his incredible surfing skills.
With summer heating up in the UK and temperatures rising into the 30s, the Brits started cooling down by relaxing at the beaches and pools.
Naturally, their furry friends come along too. But one dog would rather engage in summer sports than chill.
He was spotted at Newquay's Fistral Beach, located in the UK county of Cornwall. People were surprised to see a doggo playing on the gentle waves atop his very own surfboard.
This Black Labrador is so brilliant, he can surf on his own using his surfboard.
He gracefully surfed the sea waves, then jumped off the board when he reached the shore, where he was soon greeted by his impressed human.
The video of the clever dog was shared on the Newquay Facebook group, where it was liked by more than a thousand users.

You could see people falling off the board in the video. But for the talented Black Lab, it wasn't an issue.
He maintained his balance right from the start and was able to sustain it until he reached the shore.
The people were captivated by the prowess of the doggo. Hundreds of commenters praised the talented and clever Labrador.
Jip is the name of the awesome Black Labrador.
According to his owner, Jeroen Kuling, he adopted Jip (pronounced as 'yip') when he was half a year old. His previous owners wanted to surrender him to a kennel because he had behavioral problems.
That's when Kuling decided to adopt him. The two went to the beach on a holiday.
According to Kuling, Jip loves to swim. At the time, the dog kept sitting on his surfboard.
So Kuling decided to wait for the waves and then pushed the board with the doggo atop. He surfed as if it wasn't his first time.
The dog owner didn't know that there were people filming the talented dog. Someone posted it online, and it went viral.
Since then, people have been recognizing Jip for his brilliant surfing skills. His owner hopes that he'll ride bigger waves next time, but he won't push it.
