Rescue Worker Helps Worm-Infested Pup Deserted By Her Owners To Die, Giving Her A New Lease On Life
One abandoned puppy ended up changing everything for the person who found her. Left on the roadside, weak, and covered in the effects of a serious worm infestation, she looked like she had already been given up on.
A truck driver spotted the dog and called a local rescuer, who rushed over and quickly realized the pup needed immediate help. With no advanced equipment available, the rescuer had to rely on experience, treat what he could see, and hope the little dog would pull through.

The puppy was severely malnourished and anemic as a result of the worms. The rescuer administered dewormer, hematinics, pain relievers, and antibiotics to her.

The puppy could very well eat and build up strength as soon as she feels better. But for the time being, she needed a lot of sleep, and the soft blanket she was given worked wonders.
That first night was all about rest and recovery.

The rescuer's intuition was correct, as the puppy's health improved dramatically in just a few days! She was desperate for food, so the patient rescuer suggested starting her on broth, which would be gentle on her stomach!
This is similar to the stray dog trapped in cold snow, after its owner finally let a rescuer inside.

Her tail wagged as she guzzled from the large bowl of broth, and she was soon motivated to stand and eat. She even got to play after she had some food in her stomach, and before long, she was totally healthy and strong.
It did not take long for her to bounce back.

It is perfectly fine if one isn’t a dog lover and doesn’t want to adopt a dog or any other pet. However, it’s utterly irresponsible to adopt one of these adorable creatures and then abandon them to die out there in the cold when they are sick.
