Abandoned and Hungry Dog Waits Patiently on the Train Tracks for His Humans to Find and Take Him Home
Suzette Hall gets messages every day about stray dogs in Irvine, California, but one urgent call stopped her in her tracks. A black Lab mix had been thrown from a car onto railroad tracks and then refused to leave the spot where he last saw the people he trusted.
Even though he was hungry and scared, the dog stayed put, as if waiting for his humans to come back and take him home. Hall rushed to the scene, worried that a train could come through at any moment, and found him exactly where the witness said he would be.
What happened next turned a heartbreaking wait into a rescue mission with a name, a vet visit, and a much better future.

She became concerned that it might take some time for him to risk going for the food. Hall says that "sometimes when I’m trapping a dog, it feels like I’m watching paint dry because it can take a long time."
Hall set up a trap in order to rescue him

She sleeps in her car just to rescue a dog because she doesn’t give up. Luckily for Hall, the abandoned dog was already so hungry that after she returned a couple of minutes later, he was secured in the trap.
Hall chose the name "Soldier" for the dog and quickly drove him to her vet to have him checked.
It’s the same kind of grit as Tegan Griffith spotting a tiny puppy braving the freeze on a lonely Wisconsin road.

Soldier, the dog, has been at the Camino Pet Hospital, while Hall, on the other hand, scurries around to find him a caring foster home. There, the adorable dog is receiving medicated baths and plenty of meals.
He has even started wagging his tail while being petted by the vet technicians.

This abandoned dog will get a whole new family who will love him as a devoted companion and give him all the good things in life he deserves. It may take a little more time for him to get adopted, but Soldier is glad to wait it out as he has so much love to give.
