Abandoned Dog Waits 3 Days For Her Owners To Come Back And Refuses To Leave The Construction Site Where She Last Saw Them
For dedicated pet owners, abandoning their beloved animal companions is unimaginable. Unfortunately, this unthinkable event still occurs all too frequently, much to our dismay.
We come across these abandonment stories online far too often to dismiss them as one-time events. Rescue organizations, shelters, and good Samaritans are never without work because too many people feel it's acceptable to leave their dogs outside to fend for themselves.
Reading about their heartwarming rescues is always wonderful, but it's also disheartening. Some of these animals have been roaming the streets for quite some time before rescuers find them.
They are often scared and confused about why their humans are suddenly gone. They do not have the capacity to understand why they suddenly lack a home and a warm bed to return to.
No animal should have to feel that fear and confusion, but it happens. Fortunately, tireless rescuers are willing to move mountains to save poor animals from the streets.
Suzette Hall of Logan's Legacy is one of those unsung rescuers. She was alerted by a concerned citizen about a dog that had been seen roaming around a construction site in their neighborhood.
Even with all of the commotion and noise in the area, the dog refused to leave the site. Some people and their dogs tried to approach her, but she was so scared that she barked at them.
Hall suspected that the construction site was where the dog was abandoned by her family
The poor pup was probably thinking they would come back for her at this spot and that she couldn't leave or they would never find her again
The neighbors took turns cooking food for the dog, but she didn't really warm up to them
Luckily, Hall had experience saving abandoned and scared dogs before and successfully rescued the dog after a long night of waiting
With the help of one of the concerned citizens, Hall was able to get the dog into the trap after a whole night of waiting for her
She wrote a heartfelt message on behalf of the dog who waited for her family, who never returned
She recalled how torn up she felt watching the poor pup shake in fear and distrust
She promised that the dog would never have to go through that kind of pain and terror again
Hall coaxed the dog out of the cage and immediately brought her to the vet to get her checked out
The vet was understanding of the dog's situation and closed off a room to isolate and calm her down
They named the dog Bella, and the vet fostered her for a while before Hall could find a more permanent placement
They eventually found a long-term foster for Bella, who as of the last update was still looking for her fur-ever home
Bella is headed for a full and happy life with the family who chose to keep her!
It's frustrating that she had to suffer for a while before she finally found people who genuinely cared for her. Thank doggy heaven for dedicated individuals like Hall, who would do anything to shelter abandoned animals.
Because of their hard work and concern, Bella will have many more adventures to experience and beaches to run on. These rescue stories may be heartwarming, but we wouldn't mind not seeing many of them in the future.
