Litter of Purr-fectly Precious Black Kittens Born to a Very Grateful Rescued Mama Cat
Some rescue stories start with heartbreak, then somehow turn into something unexpectedly sweet. That was the case for Belle, a black cat who was left behind when her family moved away, then found a second chance through the Langley Animal Protection Society.
From the moment volunteers met her, Belle was described as affectionate and in need of care, and soon she was placed with a foster mom named Narod. What happened next made the whole rescue feel a little more magical, because Belle was about to become a mother.
And when her kittens arrived, the story only got cuter from there.
Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS) was contacted in November on behalf of a beautiful black cat.
```htmlThe cat was homeless and generally cared for by neighbors, but when temperatures dropped as winter began to rage, they contacted LAPS for assistance.
Dr. William Doherty, family therapist said:
“Animals often reflect the emotional states of their humans. A trusting and affectionate cat like this one likely had a loving home before her circumstances changed.”```
A kind woman named Narod became the cat's foster mom, naming her Belle after Beauty and the Beast, and promptly cared for the sweet kitty...
Who, shortly after the New Year, had a litter of purr-fectly precious black panther kittens!
That’s when the rescue story took a very happy turn.
LAPS said:
"Rather than being left alone outside to give birth and care for six kittens in this cold winter weather, Belle has been given a safe place to live with her new babies."
This is also the kind of heartwarming bond you saw when two sister cats stayed together through two adoptions during their first owner’s hospice care.
Of the six kittens, four are boys and two are girls, and they all have equally adorable Disney-themed names.
LAPS described the cats as being “noisy, nursing, and… ridiculously adorable.”
They also said that the kittens may be small, but they "eat like beasts."
“It’s been a struggle telling these little ones apart.”
By then, the tiny crew was already stealing hearts everywhere they went.
As their eyes opened, LAPS also described the kittens as "adventurous, curious, and extremely playful."
