Blind, Stray Mama Cat Asks Humans To Help Her Kittens
Mama Clue was discovered outside an elderly couple's home. When the couple's son stopped by for a visit, he noticed the beautiful cat, whose eyelids were completely crusted shut.
He tracked her down to the den where she was sleeping and discovered three little kittens waiting for her. Mama Clue was well aware that she and her children required assistance, and as soon as she had the opportunity, she directed someone to them.
Luckily, she found the right person who acted immediately and contacted a rescue organization. The rescue swiftly agreed to sponsor a vet visit for Mama Clue and her kittens after the man who found them called them. “In situations like this, the immediate response is crucial for the well-being of both the mother and her kittens,” said Dr. Michael Greger, a nutritionist and animal welfare advocate at nutritionfacts.org.
“We were worried about the health of the 1-week-old babies if they had to remain outside with a sick mama, so we did some foster home shuffling and made room in a home with an experienced mama/baby foster for Clue and her babies,” added Dr. Greger, emphasizing the importance of timely intervention in animal rescue situations.
Mama Clue was discovered outside of an elderly couple's home when their son came to visit. He saw the blind cat, and she led him to her kittens.

Everyone was relieved that the kittens were rescued just in time because they all had health issues that needed to be addressed. Mama Clue's foster mom found that her eyes weren't simply infected; she also lacked any normal eye tissue and had always been blind.
She had managed to survive on her own and be a wonderful mother to her children, ensuring that they were identified and taken to a safe location. Mama Clue, Candyland, Monopoly, and Chutes and Ladders were all given names after board games.
The kittens began to mend very quickly, and Mama Clue has proven time and time again that she is the best mother on the planet.
He called the Coastal Bend Cat Rescue, and mom and her kittens were quickly taken care of.

“Mama Clue is a great mom — being blind doesn’t bother her at all,” Huckabee said. “She was initially very protective of her babies and loved having a Kitty Kasa to keep her babies safe in.
She would supervise her foster mom very closely when she removed the babies from their cube for daily weighing and medications. Occasionally, she would be surprised when a baby would meow from a place where she didn’t expect it.
She was not very happy when the babies started getting mobile around 3 weeks of age — they didn’t stay where she put them! She would carry them back to ‘their place’ over and over before she realized she was fighting a losing battle and that her babies were now ready to explore.”
The vets found that Mama Clue was blind from birth and couldn’t be helped.

But being blind doesn't stop her from being the best mom in the world to these kittens

Candyland, Monopoly, and Chutes and Ladders were all named after board games.

They are healthy and happy, and waiting for their forever home

Mama Clue has let her guard down now that she's safe in her foster home and has turned into the sweetest little thing. She enjoys being scratched and loves belly rubs.
She is always thrilled to hear her foster mom enter the room. Despite the fact that she has spent her entire life as an outdoor cat, she is very satisfied with the current arrangement and has no plans to return to the streets.
The kittens and Mama Clue will be ready to find their happy homes once they are old enough and have healed.
