Sweet Cat's Unusual Snuggling Habits Alerted His Owner That She Had Cancer Before She Was Diagnosed
Kate King-Scribbins thought her cat Oggy was just being extra affectionate, until his favorite snuggling spot started to feel strangely specific. The rescue cat kept pressing himself against the same side of her chest, and no amount of moving him seemed to change his mind.
Kate lives with four rescue animals, including Oggy, Max, Lulu, and Abby, so she was used to plenty of attention at home. But when Oggy’s cuddling became more intense and stayed focused on her left breast, it turned into something she could not ignore.
Then a sudden pain pushed her to check for herself, and what she found made the cat’s behavior look a lot less random.
Kate says that Oggy has always been an "aggressive snuggler." However, before Kate was diagnosed with breast cancer, Oggy's snuggles became even more intense and were focused on the left side of Kate's chest.

Oggy had a very specific favorite spot, and he was not subtle about it.

Kate would try to move Oggy or deter him, but he would always return to that side and insist on lying on her left breast.

Still, Kate didn't suspect anything was wrong until one day when she awoke with a severe pain shooting through her body.

Kate performed a self-examination of her breasts and discovered a lump on her left side. She was later diagnosed with stage three breast cancer.

That was the moment everything clicked into place.
That same tender care echoes.

Kate underwent chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple operations. It wasn't until after her diagnosis that she finally realized what Oggy had been trying to tell her all along.

Throughout her chemotherapy, Oggy continued to lie on Kate's left breast. It wasn't until after her surgery that the cat stopped pinpointing that spot.

He kept returning to the same place, even after the diagnosis.

Kate says she understands that some people are very skeptical about the notion that Oggy diagnosed her cancer.

But she says all that matters is that all of her pets have helped her immensely in her recovery.

Some pets really do know when their person needs them most.
