People Of Reddit Help Put An End To Cat Ownership Dispute
We've seen this story plenty of times before - a family runs into a stray animal, and after spending weeks looking for its owners they fall in love with the animal and decide to adopt it and keep it as a new family member. However, we also see a lot of cases where the original owners show up out of nowhere and demand to have their pet back.

One such story was posted to Reddit where a user shared his concerns to see if he's going to lose his beloved cat. Before you read the full story this Redditor posted, there are a few things you should keep in mind.
The only reason this whole situation happened is that the old owners were irresponsible cat owners who didn't spay their cat, but let her roam around the neighborhood. Not only does this cause damage to the local ecosystem but it can also greatly endanger your sweet pets.
The family that took this poor cat home deserves all the praise for their humane act but also for having the patience to deal with the kitty's unreasonable ex-owners. Fortunately, it sounds like this situation is going to be resolved the way it should, so we can happily say, good job OP.
Now you can scroll down and read the full story about Roxo and his two families, as well as the comments left by the people of Reddit, in their infinite wisdom.
OP and his family first saw the poor kitty when it was just 2 weeks old, and soon enough Roxo became a party of the family.
Even though the lady probably abandoned the poor kittens, after her cat died she suddenly wanted the kitten back.
After all that time spent with Roxo and the money they spent on him, the lady still dares to claim he belongs to her.
Luckily, users on Reddit are always there to provide advice. All this family did is adopt a stray kitten that was on their property.
It's clear the previous family took their sweet time finding the kittens. Just makes it more clear that they abandoned the poor kittens.
It was clear who now legally owns Roxo, and there's nothing that lady can do to change that.
People on Reddit also recommended getting Roxo microchipped as soon as possible, and to keep him inside in case the old family tries to steal him.
The most suspicious part is that the kitten somehow ended up in their bushes.
It's pretty clear that the kittens were abandoned.
Redditors were hugely supportive for OP and Roxo, reminding him that there's only one family he could belong to.
And there you have it, after 9 months this lady decided that the cat should belong to her. We see stories like this all the time and sometimes they end up with the cat being stolen.
Hopefully, OP will be careful and won't let something like this happen. We want to know, how do you feel about this story, do you think the lady was in the right?
