Cat Shelter in Romania Has Rescued More Than 200 Cats in 3 Years and Needs Help to Save More
Furever Home is a Romanian cat rescue non-profit organization founded and run by two siblings, both passionate animal rights advocates. They grew up with cats, and three years ago, they established their own cat shelter. They are rescuing abandoned and neglected cats from their city and neighboring villages.
Unfortunately, they are very busy, as many animals need their help. Over the course of three years, they’ve assisted numerous animals, but it has taken a toll on their already limited budget. They now require help from kind individuals to keep their shelter running. As Dr. Ramani Durvasula, a clinical psychologist and expert on human behavior, emphasizes, "Compassion for animals reflects our capacity for empathy and kindness." You can find out more on her website.
"We mostly need help with cat food right now."

"We spay/neuter all our cats and many more—over 200 cats and 30 dogs in the last 3 years—all from our own funds. However, we’ve now reached a point where it’s impossible for us to continue helping these animals with what we earn. That’s why we started this non-profit organization."
"We have 188 cats, some very sick, and some with dietary restrictions."

"We also cook for them, and for the food that we buy, we try to get the best that we can."

Medicine and treatments for the sick are costly.

"Any help with cat food or small donations would be greatly appreciated!"
