A Police Officer Came To The Rescue Of A Cat Whose Head Is Stuck In A Bag Of Chips
Cats get stuck all the time. The classic example is when they become stranded in trees.
With their claws and agility, they can easily climb up trees. But the problem arises when it's time to come down—they don't know how to do it.
It's the same when they find tight spaces. They love fitting themselves into small areas, only to get stuck and cry out to their humans for help.
Cats enjoy getting into the oddest places because it gives them comfort and safety. A small space helps them retain their body heat.
It is part of their instinct to hide from predators. This is the very reason they love getting into boxes, particularly smaller ones.
Since cats spend most of their time sleeping, keeping themselves protected is their priority. You could say that boxes provide them with a sense of security.
Scientists have also discovered that felines are most comfortable between 86 and 97 degrees Fahrenheit. If you think about it, this is warmer than the room temperature we humans prefer to live in.
The story we're looking at today is about a cat who got stuck. But instead of a box, this poor furball's head became trapped inside a bag of chips.
The incident happened in Pleasanton, Texas.
The cat seems to love the human snack to the point of getting her head stuck in a bag of chips. Fortunately, a kind officer spotted the poor feline and helped her regain her freedom from the clutches of the bag.
A Pleasanton Police Department officer named Matt DeLeon caught the moment on camera.
The police officer was patrolling the area when he came upon a troubled feline in a parking lot with a yellow bag stuck on the furball's head. The snack-loving cat couldn't resist the deliciousness of the food, which resulted in her predicament.
Good thing DeLeon was there.
DeLeon rushed to the cat and yanked the evil chip bag from the furball's head.
Although the cat appreciated the assistance, she bolted away instead of showing gratitude by purring. She was probably just too scared by what had just happened to her.
We just hope that the cat is safe and isn't traumatized by the incident.
