Deer Family's Heartwarming Visit To Gift Store
Encounters with wildlife are not unusual in certain parts of the country, where nature's inhabitants often wander into human territory. However, even for Colorado residents accustomed to such sights, the recent visit of a curious deer to a local shop in Fort Collins raised more than a few eyebrows.
Lori Jones, a worker at one of the shops within the Horsetooth Inn and RV Park, found herself at the center of an amusing and unexpected encounter with a young deer. On an otherwise ordinary day, Lori was going about her business when she was taken aback by the sight of a deer strolling into the shop as if it owned the place.
The fawn's casual demeanor as it perused the merchandise left Lori momentarily speechless before she dissolved into laughter. Lori found the situation incredibly amusing as she observed the deer inspecting the sunglasses and chips.
Her laughter filled the shop as she struggled to contain her amusement. Given the area's reputation for a heavy deer population, Lori presumed the young visitor had simply wandered off its usual path. Approximately 30 minutes later, the deer returned, accompanied by its entire family, as Lori recounted while describing the unexpected turn of events. Engaged in her inventory duties, Lori emerged from the office to find the deer family once again within the vicinity of the shop.
This time, the doe had brought along her twin offspring and a young buck she seemed to have adopted. As the mother deer approached Lori, her siblings lingered patiently by the door, their curious gazes hinting at their desire to join the gathering inside.
Lori couldn't help but be entertained by the comical sight before her. With a chuckle, Lori described the deer's siblings peering through the doorway, seemingly asking, "Can we come in too?" Amused by the situation, Lori gently declined their unspoken request.
After ensuring the deer family's visit didn't disrupt the shop's operations, Lori bid them farewell once again, this time offering some nuts as a parting treat. Capturing the moment with some snapshots, Lori couldn't help but marvel at the abundance of wildlife surrounding their shop.
