Puppy Deserted On Roadside Saved By A Cyclist and His Wife
Pablo Villamayor and his wife were out on a bicycle ride in Paraguay when they stumbled onto a scene they could not ignore. A car pulled over on a deserted road, someone tossed out a bag, and the vehicle sped away.
What they found next was a helpless puppy left behind on the roadside, and the moment quickly turned into a rescue. The couple did not just stop to help, they ended up bringing the little dog into their lives.
That abandoned pup would soon have a name, a home, and a future he never would have had on that road.

As soon as the vehicle drove away, the Villamayors reached the spot where they saw the bag being dumped.
“We realized that it was a dog,” Villamayor told The Dodo. “He emerged from the bag and came running toward us, crying. We stopped.”
As fate would have it, the Villamayors were destined to save that puppy's life.
Lorenzo Ready for His Bicycle Ride
The good thing is that the puppy seemed to be in good health. Since there were no injuries from being tossed out of a car, the Villamayors decided to save him themselves instead of calling for help.
Pablo Villamayor carefully settled him on the handlebars and rode together.
This is how they embarked on their new adventure that day.
Lorenzo Enjoying the Ride
“We decided to adopt him,” Villamayor said. “We named him Lorenzo. He is now at home with us. He’s happy.”
The deserted puppy became a brand new addition to their family.
It was a sudden turn no one on that road could have predicted.

Abandoned Pup Relaxing at His New Home
The Villamayors were shocked at the cruelty and insensitivity of the people who discarded him in the middle of nowhere. At the same time, they were grateful that they were there to rescue him in time.
“I felt sick seeing the cruelty of people,” Villamayor remarked. “But we were lucky to have found him. Fate wanted Lorenzo to be here with us.”
