Meet Woody, A Pitbull With A Disfigured Face Looking For A Forever Home After Being Abandoned By Previous Owners
Woody is the kind of pit bull that makes you stop mid-scroll, not because he’s doing anything dramatic, but because his face looks like it’s been through a lot. And yet, this 8-month-old pup is still all wiggles, all play, and desperate to finally settle into a real forever routine.
Here’s the complicated part: Woody was abandoned by his previous owners, and SNARR is being picky for a reason. They need a family that can work with his energy, keep him away from cats since he likes to chase them off, and ideally match him with the right dog setup, like a home with only female dogs.
After months of searching, the wildest plot twist is that Woody actually found his people.
A Dog with an Odd Face is Seeking a Lifelong Home

SNARR wasn’t just guessing when they said Woody needs a home without cats, because he’s the type to chase them away the moment he sees them.
And since Woody is currently raised with four other females, that “only female dogs” requirement suddenly makes a lot more sense.
This heartbreaking moment echoes the shelter dog who stared crushed against the wall after no one wanted to adopt him.
Even though Woody is great with kids and not aggressive, SNARR warned he can get agitated and jumpy at times, so bigger, calmer dog vibes are the goal.
Woody, who is now 8 months old, is also making up for lost "puppy" time and is very lovable and playful. SNARR needs to be very selective about whom they allow to adopt the dog because they want to place Woody in the best possible family.
“Woody, so lovable, needs a little love and a little practice; he’s a bit of a hottie. He also needs a home without cats, as he likes to chase them away.”
SNARR also continued, saying:
“We also believe he will thrive best in a home with only female dogs. He is currently being raised with four other females and is absolutely amazing. Woody is great with kids, but we think older dogs (over 10 years old) are best suited for him. He doesn’t get aggressive with anything or anyone, but he’s a big dog and can get agitated and jumpy at times, so larger dogs are better suited.”
The SNARR Northwest website has an application that anyone interested in adopting Woody (and who meets the requirements) can complete.
An Update on Woody the Dog:
We want to provide you with a heartfelt update about Woody the dog. After months of searching for the ideal forever home, SNARR is happy to report that Woody has found a home filled with affection.
They uploaded photos of Woody, delighted with his new family, new friends, and his new home. We thank Woody's new family and wish him well with his new companions.

The best part, though, is that after all those applications and careful matches, SNARR posted photos of Woody in his new home, finally surrounded by love.
Woody’s new family got the happy ending he was missing, and his face is still the first thing you notice.
Woody’s odd-face story feels similar to Cooper born without a neck, who turned his whole body to look behind him.
