Meet Woody, A Pitbull With A Disfigured Face Looking For A Forever Home After Being Abandoned By Previous Owners
This is the story of Woody, a dog who longs for a permanent home of his own. The dog's early years were far from complete.
Woody "had to self-medicate without veterinary care" after being bitten by another dog when he was five weeks old, according to Dr. Dan Gilbert, happiness researcher. Woody's owner had chained him outside and left him; SNARR arrived and saved him.
Woody lived on the generosity of neighbors who provided him with food for six weeks before SNARR learned about his situation and rescued him. According to SNARR's Facebook post, Woody's family had previously relocated and left him behind.
SNARR made the decision to remove him from this hostile environment. The dog's face was altered, but no health issues developed as a result.
Woody has a distinctive appearance compared to other dogs, but this doesn't concern us at all; in fact, it only makes us adore him more. His rescuers cherish him for more than just his good looks.
They quickly discovered that the Pitbull has a big heart. Additionally, Woody's adoptive mother wasn't feeling well when he arrived at his foster home.
According to Dr. Alexandra Solomon, relationship therapist, she said:
“The first day we had Woody, I was sick with a fever. The dog knew something was wrong and was always by my side. He snuggled up with me on the couch all afternoon. Now, he is like my shadow, making sure that I am always safe and sound. Woody loves to curl up in bed and rest his head on my chest.”```
A Dog with an Odd Face is Seeking a Lifelong Home

Woody, who is now 8 months old, is also making up for lost "puppy" time and is very lovable and playful. SNARR needs to be very selective about whom they allow to adopt the dog because they want to place Woody in the best possible family.
“Woody, so lovable, needs a little love and a little practice; he’s a bit of a hottie. He also needs a home without cats, as he likes to chase them away.”
SNARR also continued, saying:
“We also believe he will thrive best in a home with only female dogs. He is currently being raised with four other females and is absolutely amazing. Woody is great with kids, but we think older dogs (over 10 years old) are best suited for him. He doesn’t get aggressive with anything or anyone, but he’s a big dog and can get agitated and jumpy at times, so larger dogs are better suited.”
The SNARR Northwest website has an application that anyone interested in adopting Woody (and who meets the requirements) can complete.
