Grieving Momma Dog Who Lost Her Litter Adopts Orphaned Kittens
This story will surely warm your heart, whether you are a dog person or a cat person. Although the beginning for both is quite tragic, it ended well for both sides.
For quite some time, Stacee Jones has been fostering animals. She does this for Jelly's Place, a shelter in San Pablo, California.
During her years as a foster mom, she has seen animals care for others, but this particular situation brought more tears to her eyes. One day, Stacee received a call from the shelter about a momma dog who had just lost her pups and needed some help.
Without thinking twice, she accepted the dog, and just moments later, three little kittens desperately needed help too. At that moment, Stacee decided to take the orphaned kitties with her and present them to the momma dog.
Stacee thought that giving the little kittens to the momma dog would help both parties. She carefully showed the kittens one by one to the momma dog.
She first observed how the dog would react when she presented the first kitten. Surprisingly, the dog took it right away and licked it... and this was just the beginning.
Stacee knew that the dog would be the best mom these orphaned kittens could ever wish for, and these kittens were also the offspring this momma dog would want to have.
Meet the momma dog named Keeper.
This poor momma dog looks so brokenhearted because she recently lost her puppies. Now, she seems to be a lost soul.
She still has milk in her breasts, but she has no one to cuddle with and feed her milk—until the orphaned kitties arrived, that is.
These are the three orphaned kittens.
They looked like weaklings in need of milk.
Bravo, momma dog officially adopts these orphaned kittens!
After she presented the first kitty and the dog immediately took it, she gave the second, then the third. Whew! She never thought it would be that easy.
Instantly, the momma dog took the kittens and licked them. She cared for the three as if they were her own offspring.
As soon as the kittens got near her, her motherly instincts were activated. Her emptiness was filled by these kittens.
Both the adoptive mom and the kittens found comfort in each other's arms, and this very heartwarming scene brought tears to Stacee's eyes. It was just so amazing!
Milk, milk, milk!

It has been about five weeks since this momma dog has nursed these now active and playful kittens. She has shown the trio much love and care.
The kittens have grown well. Look at those adorable eyes!
Now, the trio is all ready for adoption.
Keeper has showered all these kittens with so much love. She has proven to be the best mommy dog they could ever have.
These kittens, in turn, filled the gap inside Keeper's soul.
All of them are ready to meet the new families that will give them the much-needed care and love.
