Grieving Momma Dog Who Lost Her Litter Adopts Orphaned Kittens
A grieving momma dog, a box of orphaned kittens, and one foster home turned into the sweetest kind of rescue story. What started in heartbreak quickly became a tiny family nobody expected.
Stacee Jones, who fosters animals for Jelly's Place in San Pablo, California, got a call about a mother dog who had just lost her litter. Before she could settle in, three kittens also needed help, and Stacee decided to bring them together to see what would happen.
The first kitten was enough to change everything, and the rest of the story only gets more heartwarming from there.
Meet the momma dog named Keeper.
This poor momma dog looks so brokenhearted because she recently lost her puppies. Now, she seems to be a lost soul.
She still has milk in her breasts, but she has no one to cuddle with and feed her milk—until the orphaned kitties arrived, that is.

After she presented the first kitty and the dog immediately took it, she gave the second, then the third. Whew! She never thought it would be that easy.
Instantly, the momma dog took the kittens and licked them. She cared for the three as if they were her own offspring.
As soon as the kittens got near her, her motherly instincts were activated. Her emptiness was filled by these kittens.
Both the adoptive mom and the kittens found comfort in each other's arms, and this very heartwarming scene brought tears to Stacee's eyes. It was just so amazing!
