Brokenhearted Dog Keeps Hugging Pillow With A Portrait Of His Brother Who Passed Away
Spencer and Rocky did everything together for ten years, from sleeping in the same bed to sharing meals and daily walks. So when Rocky died after a serious tumor diagnosis, the loss hit hard, and Spencer was left confused, restless, and visibly grieving.
What happened next was both simple and heartbreaking. A pillow printed with Rocky’s face gave Spencer something to hold onto, and it quickly became part of his routine as he tried to make sense of his brother’s absence.
It’s a small comfort, but for Spencer, it seems to mean everything.

“Rocky had to be put down that day,” Beth explained. “It was hard to process Rocky’s sudden death, but we can’t imagine how difficult it must be for Spencer to have lost his little brother.”

It’s the same kind of grief Spencer shows, like the heartbroken dog who visits his late owner’s grave every day.
“Spencer has been cuddling with the pillow since it arrived, carrying it from the sofa to his own bed,” Beth said. “He seems a lot more settled now that he has something to cuddle with.”
Now he has a little piece of Rocky to hold onto.
A pillow can’t bring Rocky back to his family, but it is wonderful to see that Spencer can take at least some comfort from it.
