Poor Dog That Was Thrown Out On The Streets Because She Was Missing Her Front Legs Gets Another Chance At Life
Sadly, many people claim to love animals but would actually cringe at the sight of those with deformities. In shelters, some individuals often adopt the best-looking dogs, while those who are visibly aging or suffering from abnormalities get ignored because, unfortunately, their appearances also matter.
People who genuinely care would consider each and every one of these animals who have been waiting days to meet the parent that suits them and be adopted into their forever homes. It is truly heartbreaking to see some people completely disregard them as if they do not deserve an ounce of attention.
That being said, even puppies born with abnormalities are treated as outcasts by their supposed families of humans. Unfortunately, this also happens with human babies—those born with deformities often seem to be cast as the black sheep of the family simply because of how they look.
Unfortunately for animals in this situation, most of them are simply thrown out and left to fend for themselves on the streets, without any guarantee of survival. It is heartbreaking that some people are heartless enough to abandon them to die just because they do not like how they look.
That is exactly what happened to a particular chihuahua named Daffodil. Read on to find out her story!
Daffodil was found in a cardboard box, thrown out after her owner saw that she was born with missing front legs. For days, she spent her time crying in the soggy cardboard box she was found in, on the streets of San Francisco.
People passing by would see the "adorable puppy" inside, check on her, but then cringe at the sight of her birth defect, so Daffodil would end up back inside the box once again.

Fortunately, a kind young man brought Daffodil to the local SPCA after seeing her on the streets. The staff there were initially hesitant about whether the puppy would be able to survive.
But thank the heavens, because after just a few weeks of being loved and cared for, Daffodil recovered and became a very affectionate and active puppy. It seems she has no idea that she is actually disabled and simply wants to be loved by her caretakers.

The workers quickly became fond of Daffodil and her personality, seeing past her missing body parts and giving her another chance at life. They even provided her with a custom-fitted wheelchair!

The video below shows Daffodil enjoying her first ride in her little wheelchair. She inevitably stumbles and falls, but just like how she survived abandonment, she picks herself up again like the strong girl she is.

Fortunately, Daffodil has now been officially adopted by Olivia, one of her caretakers at the SPCA. It is guaranteed that Daffodil will be living her best life from now on as Olivia's baby princess!
