Disabled Puppy Sheds Tears After Being Loved and Cherished for the First Time
Oksana Savchuk didn’t plan on meeting a miracle that day, but a barely-moving Shepherd on a Russian sidewalk changed everything. Jack was exhausted, bruised, and so close to giving up that even his breathing looked tired.
Oksana and her rescue team carried him to the shelter and started first aid right away, trying to keep him steady while his world fell apart at the same time. The complication? Jack was missing two front legs, and he needed a special wheelchair just to run, play, and feel like a puppy again. Then the real heartbreak hit, when he finally got held, loved, and safe enough to cry.
That first real hug is where Jack’s story turned, and it’s the moment you’ll want to see.
Oksana Savchuk is a Russian animal rescuer with remarkable experience and an unending love for animals. One day, her team stumbled upon an exhausted Shepherd lying on the sidewalk.

Oksana lovingly and tenderly cradled Jack as they made their way to the shelter, whispering words of comfort and security in his ear. The loyal canine was overcome with emotion and tearfully snuggled into Oksana's embrace in an unforgettable moment.
She named him Jack, and although his story was one of tragedy, marked by the loss of two of his front legs, Oksana was determined to give him back his independence. She bought him a special wheelchair, enabling him to run and play with all the energy of a pup, although the wheelchair often needs maintenance and repair, which requires a financial investment.
Oksana and Jack would be eternally grateful for any assistance they can receive from generous benefactors.
He was barely moving and had almost given up on life. Without hesitation, they began first aid and bandaged him up.

Despite the gravity of the situation, the team was determined to help the poor pup.

Oksana cradled Jack as she whispered comfort, and that’s when the tears started flowing instead of the fear.
Once the team bandaged him up and got him out of that sidewalk slump, the next problem became the wheelchair maintenance and the cost that comes with it.
Kolyasik is an absolute delight—a woofing angel that needs a little extra help. She has a disability in her spine, which means she can't walk without her trusty wheelchair. But this doesn't stop her from making a difference in the lives of other canine rescues!
Kolyasik has an amazing ability to earn the trust of the more doubtful and aggressive dogs, while Jack helps make their time at the shelter less distressing and more enjoyable. Though they may need special care that not all families can provide, they are absolutely invaluable to Oksana and everyone in the shelter.
This is similar to the disabled dog who cried tears of joy right before giving up on life.

This dog is happy now

The equipment is specially designed for him

He finally knows what love is

And he has friends

Then Kolyasik rolled in, spine-disability and all, because her own wheelchair life taught her exactly how to win over the toughest dogs.
Jack and Kolyasik ended up changing the shelter vibe together, making the place feel less like waiting and more like home.
