Dog Attended a Race to Protest Running and He Wanted to Know If People Would Join Him in This Fight
Our staunch anti-running activist is Ollie. He's a 6-year-old, 45-pound English Bulldog, and yes, he is the best boy.
Ollie made the rounds online when he decided to attend the Great Race in Pittsburgh. It's a 5K and 10K race that aims to support amyloidosis research.
The friends of his parents were part of the race, and since the route passes through their neighborhood, Ollie and his parents decided to show up to support.
But Ollie had a different, more radical idea. Inspired by Olivia Rodrigo's popular song 'Good 4 U,' the dog held a sign that read: "I hate running, but good 4 u."
He wasn't afraid to let his opinions be heard, and the internet agrees! A race is the perfect place for Ollie to stage his protest against running.
Crystal Uvalle, Ollie's loving mom, shared that aside from running, this chunky boy adamantly avoids any form of exercise. At his age, Ollie believes he has earned the right to do only the things that he truly enjoys, like earning the love of strangers, going for car rides, and eating all of his snacks.
Who can blame him? If given the choice between receiving pets and running around, anyone would turn down running.
People who say otherwise are lying. Be like Ollie: sit in a wagon and proclaim your hate for exercising!

According to Ollie's parents, he really doesn't enjoy walking. They generally have to force him out the door and drag him to get him to walk.
But car rides are Ollie's thing; he loves them, and he knows when they are trying to trick him into walking and when he's actually going for a ride. His age has made him so wise.
When they have to go for a long trip, Ollie always brings his wagon. Otherwise, Ollie will plop down wherever he is when he's done walking.
If they forget his wagon, Ollie's parents will have to carry him around because no amount of coaxing will get Ollie to move a muscle.

Ollie protesting running during the Great Race in Pittsburgh:
Who wouldn't join his cause?
Ollie made a lot of people laugh because of his sign. Many also agreed with Ollie's sentiments that running is good for you, but it does suck.
However, Ollie did enjoy watching the race; he loves crowds because that means a lot of people will pay attention to him and give him all the pets he wants.
Unfortunately, Ollie was sad and confused when the runners wouldn't stop to say hi to him. You can see in the video shared by his parents that Ollie was trying to get out of the wagon to be adored.
Eventually, once the race was done, people finally paid attention to Ollie. He got all the love and attention he wanted.

See, this is what the runners should have done instead. Petting Ollie is more beneficial if you ask him.

Despite all the love he got after the marathon, Ollie is convinced that more people should join him in his favorite sport — napping.

He is such a great multitasker!

This is enough exercise for today for Mr. Ollie

After a long day of hard work and protesting, Ollie needs to rest. This shoe seems perfect.

Ollie made a lot of people smile during the race and made the race memorable for them, too. Hopefully, Ollie found an ally in the crowd who understands just how awful running really is.
Nap well, you ambitious dog! Save your energy for the next adventure. We're looking forward to your upcoming protest, Ollie!
