Driver Saves A Kitten Swimming Along A Flooded Street
Some of you might say that you love the rainy season and that bathing in the rain makes you happy. However, it's not advisable to get wet for a long time; the rainy season can pose hazards to animals, especially those that are not domesticated.
With no homes to shelter from the rain, the chances of getting soaked are high, particularly during floods. When areas become flooded, animals without a place to find refuge can end up drowning.
The thought of getting stuck in floodwaters is scary, right? Imagine if that happens to small animals.
This story took place in Recife, in the northeastern part of Brazil, as shared by Bettina Angela on a rainy morning while she was on her way to the supermarket. As she described it, the rainy season had brought excessive flooding.
Towards the end of May, the water already stood a foot high and was even higher in some areas of the streets. As she drove her car, she saw a tiny kitten paddling in the stream that their Avenida had turned into.
Without thinking twice, she got out of her car, took the little kitten with her—whom she later named Rain—and brought her home. Rain quickly felt at home within a week.

This is Rain, the blue-eyed little kitty.
Bettina wasn't wrong at all when she rescued this sweet little kitten along the flooded Avenida; she gets along well with the family's other pets. Bettina owns Witte, a two-year-old tomcat, and two chocolate Labradors.
Rain is now around four months old and is full of energy and joy. This fur baby has brought much happiness to her newfound home.

"Do you want to play hide and seek with me?"
Witte the tomcat and Rain have become great friends. They play a lot and share a close bond with each other; at times, Rain is even trained by Witte to hunt.
Of course, the dogs share light moments with Rain too. Their tails are her favorite.
The Labradors wag their tails, and she playfully catches them. With the human members of the household, she loves their touches and purrs loudly as she asks for more body rubs, then sleeps on their laps.
During family mealtime, she literally goes up to see what is on their plates and asks for her share. As Bettina shared, if she is munching on a bowl of salad, this little kitty would have a slice of melon or tomato.
Bettina is fully aware that Rain needs to be schooled for proper behavior and good manners, and she is starting to train the little kitty to become the better feline citizen that she should be.

Rain's story is truly heartwarming. Imagine one kitty completing the whole family and giving them free hugs and kisses; this all started one rainy morning after she was rescued by her fur mom, Bettina.
It seems that rainy days are no longer cold with so much fur in them. If you love this story, please share it with your friends and family.
