Dog, Who Just Got Discharged From The Hospital, Is Super Excited To See His Best Buddy Picking Him Up
Samantha Zimmer and her fiancé, George Dix, saw a post on Facebook about two stray dogs, one of whom had been hit by a vehicle, so they quickly drove out to search for them. Zimmer and Dix volunteered as foster parents for Lola's big moment, and they knew they could help.
They also hoped that the dogs would allow them to assist. The two partners drove around for some time and thought they might have lost their way.
That was until they saw the smaller of the two dogs, Corey, who was lying in the street, trusting that somebody would come and help him and his buddy, Matthew. Matthew was lying in a ditch, obviously harmed and in need of assistance.
Corey remained close by for many hours, refusing to abandon his friend until they were both found and rescued. Zimmer said that they got Corey first and then went to help Matthew from the ditch.
She added that the trench was holding water, so they needed to pull him further up on the bank if they wanted to get him out safely. When Zimmer and her fiancé approached him initially, his breathing was generally normal, and he was wagging his tail.
It was then that they knew he was thankful that they found him. Zimmer says that it was of enormous help when they saw Matthew wag his tail, and they knew that he was a real fighter.

The couple then carefully loaded the two dogs into their vehicle and drove directly to the hospital. Matthew had numerous wounds, but they were confident that he would be able to recuperate fully.
After receiving all the necessary medical attention he needed and spending time recovering at the hospital, Matthew was finally prepared to go to his foster home and continue his full recovery there.
Matthew was finally prepared to go over to his foster home

On the day they went to get Matthew from the hospital, Corey showed up as well, and the pair were eager to see each other once more. The moment Matthew saw Corey, he began wagging his tail.
He wanted to draw nearer to Corey, so he began scooting. The couple had to get Matthew to sit down and relax.
Finally, the two of them got comfortable and took a nap in the vehicle on the ride to Matthew's foster home. Matthew is expected to take around four months to recover fully.
Corey has his own issues that he needs to recover from as well, so until further notice, the dogs are in different foster homes to receive the attention and care they need at this time. Both of them are doing well and are eager to be around their caring foster families.

The good news is that the rescue is currently processing applications and will hopefully approve an adopter who would like to take them both in. Matthew and Corey have been through a lot, but their rescuers are excited that they're both happy and recovering too.
Not only that, but the couple is also glad that, after a short time, they will have the best new family to adore them for eternity.
