Explorer Warmly Hugs A Friendly Wild Bear And It Will Truly Melt Your Heart
Seeing bears in the wild can be exciting, but encountering them up close can be potentially dangerous. It's the very reason why people often see signs saying "Beware of Bears" when they go hiking.
Remember that a wild animal's behavior can be unpredictable. According to experts, while attacks on humans rarely happen, some instances have led to serious injuries and even death.
Every encounter is a unique experience. That's why experts admit that there is no one strategy that will work in every situation to ensure your safety.
To prevent the situation from worsening, it's important to let the bear know that we are humans, not prey. Do not panic.
Instead, hold your ground and wave your arms slowly. This signals to them that you're human.
A standing bear isn't threatening; it is merely curious and might come closer to smell or look at you.
Bears do not want to attack humans. They usually prefer to be left alone because they are shy animals.
These creatures might even bluff by appearing to attack you only to withdraw and run away at the very last second. They might also display defensive behaviors such as snapping their jaws, yawning, woofing, and more.
You can calm yourself by talking to the bear, but keep your tone low so you won't appear threatening to the creature.
Today, we're looking at an explorer's bear encounter. But unlike the negative stories we often hear from hikers and see on YouTube, his experience is a friendly one.
An explorer and friendly bear had a wholesome water fight before they ended up in an embrace.
An encounter with a wild bear is something that most people would rather not experience. But this explorer is willing to take on the challenge.

The friendly encounter was caught on camera.
In the video, you can see the Turkish explorer sharing a sweet hug. This took place in the Altai Republic, which is located near the Russia-Kazakhstan border.
The explorer, named Cemal Gulas, cuddled with the huge wild bear beneath a waterfall.

Their reaction toward each other tells us that they've met before.
But Gulas wasn't afraid. Instead, he confidently hugged his big furry buddy.
The video is part of a project called Asia Expedition. It is a 20-month adventure starting from the Bosphorus and ending in the Bering Strait.

The truth is that bears aren't friendly to humans.
We may see their cute sides online, but in the end, they will always be wild animals and will never understand our concept of friendship.
They are solitary creatures and do not socialize as much as other animals. The only exception is during mating or when mothers are taking care of their cubs.
We must remember that they are undomesticated. Trying to befriend one is downright risky.
While bears aren't territorial, there will be times when they will defend a critical space. For example, they can be protective of their food resources.
If you enter the space they are protecting, they will either run away or become aggressive. Perhaps those who truly understand the behavior of bears will have the chance to befriend them.
