Rescue Dog Gets To Sleep In Bed For The First Time, And Her Reactions Are Heartwarming
Before being rescued, Sundae’s entire world was a junk-filled backyard and a cold garage. Thanks to the Country Roads Animal Rescue Society, she was saved from a terrible dog-hoarding situation in Oklahoma City.
The conditions she lived in were appalling – she had to give birth to a litter of puppies outside. Not even then was she allowed to enter her previous owner’s house.
In fact, she had never been inside any home. That is, not until her foster mom took her in. The look on Sundae’s face when she laid down to rest on a real bed says it all.

"We've had her for about a week, and you would never know that she's never been an indoor dog before," Sundae's foster mom, Mugglequeen, wrote in her Reddit post. "She's totally potty trained, incredibly gentle, and she's very polite indoors."
Mugglequeen loves Sundae because she is so sweet and because of her caramel, chocolate, and vanilla coloring. Sundae was initially very cautious around men, but her experienced foster mom knew what to do. She left a pair of her boyfriend's shorts on the bed (which is Sundae's favorite place), and Sundae slowly started to relax.
Well, it was her favorite place until her foster mom showed her how cozy a bed could be. The look on her face when she laid down on it is priceless. It's as if she knew that she was finally safe.

Sundae is also receiving the medical treatments she needs. She is in good overall health, but the vet discovered that she is heartworm positive and needs some dental work. The puppies she gave birth to are all fine and healthy and waiting to be adopted. Sundae is also looking for her forever home.

“Her perfect family would have a very chill lifestyle and a ton of patience to help her continue to come out of her shell and gain confidence,” Mugglequeen says. “She will stay with me until her perfect forever family comes along!”
We are sure that a wonderful dog like Sundae won’t wait long.
