Homeless Pitbull Was Slowly Giving Up On Life Until One Loving Family Changed His Mind
Pit bulls are the most misunderstood dogs out there. While most dogs are considered sweet, loving, and adorable companions, pit bulls are often stereotyped as aggressive, poorly behaved, and dangerous animals that you should definitely not trust around your kids or anyone you love.
This stereotype has led to pit bulls being mishandled by owners who do not train them properly or take the time to socialize with them. Dogs will behave according to the way they are trained, so it's never the dog's fault.
A pit bull who was on the verge of giving up on life was found living in a camp for the homeless. Saint's body weakened day by day, and multiple parasites ravaged his skin. The constant pain became too much for him to handle, and he grew tired of suffering every day for nothing.
It was evident in his appearance and body language that he was unwilling to endure more pain and suffering. Saint was discovered by a woman named Heather, who couldn't resist helping him.
Heather took him home as a hospice dog. The main goal was to make Saint feel comfortable and surrounded by people who loved him in his final days.
Saint could not even bring himself to eat when he first arrived at Heather's home.
His body was so weak that he could not get up and needed Heather's assistance.
"He had every parasite you could imagine."
Saint was in constant pain, and it was obvious that he was ready to give up the fight.
Heather tried her hardest to convince him that she was by his side, and "he showed [her] he wanted to fight."
He didn't care much about being petted or interacting with any of the people around him. But Heather kept pushing and giving him more hope!
Little by little, Saint started getting used to being around Heather and her family.
Their unconditional love and care compelled him to join their family.
Heather and her family eventually became his "pack of dogs," and he even started eating more food.
Saint embraced the world with open arms and began reconnecting with it once again.
He left the past behind, focused on the present, and he is now thriving with his new family!
He's even a spoiled little brat now, according to Heather.

What Heather did is truly inspiring, and we should all learn from her kindness and generosity. She inspired a desperate dog who had already lost all hope to keep going and reminded him that there are many things in this world worth living for, one of them being a loving family.
Saint must have had a pretty tough life before being rescued by Heather. The state in which he was found proves that he was living in some of the worst conditions imaginable.
Thankfully, we have a happy ending, and Saint found a loving family that will always treat him with respect, love, and dignity.
