Newborn Kittens Saved From Drowning After Being Thrown Into The River By A 67-Year-Old Woman
It is always troubling to think that some people can guiltlessly harm animals and risk their lives as if they are invaluable. Most of us could never even imagine inflicting any kind of pain on our pets, and it's such a bothersome reality that some individuals don't even mind the kind of danger they put animals in at all.
Even if we accidentally step on a paw or hit them with our elbows unintentionally, it is always a disheartening feeling to think that we have hurt such innocent creatures. Some people will even take a few days to shake off the feeling of guilt after an accidental hit.
With that being said, it is hard to comprehend people who actually enjoy harming animals, abusing and mistreating them even when they are still babies. That is just cruel proof that some individuals are callous enough to disregard another creature's life simply because they are helpless and non-threatening.
Unfortunately, not a day goes by without these kinds of situations occurring, and this time, it involves an elderly woman throwing a group of kittens into a river in northern Poland, likely to let them suffer from the cold or drown. Luckily, a woman jumped in to save the kittens from further harm.

The tiny kittens were discovered by a group of kids who were playing along the banks of the Tuga River in Nowy Dwór Gdański, an area in northern Poland. Bless them for their pure hearts, as they immediately went to call emergency services, and a group of firefighters showed up.
They tried to reach the plastic bag but were unable to do so because the poles they used were too short. It was then that a bystander stepped in to save the kittens from a tragic end.

The bystander was a woman named Mrs. Klaudia, who happened to be near the river with her daughter when the commotion was happening. She then decided to strip off her clothes and swim to reach the plastic bag containing the kittens.
When they opened the bag, they discovered it actually contained three kittens, but one of them sadly passed away by the time they were rescued.

The Pomorska Policja released surveillance video footage for those who wanted to know what happened after starting an investigation. The footage showed a woman walking towards the water's edge holding the plastic bag.

She guiltlessly tossed the bag, and with the help of the footage, they traced the culprit and discovered that it was a 67-year-old woman from the neighborhood. She was arrested and charged accordingly with animal cruelty.

Mrs. Klaudia took the remaining kittens to the vet and shared with the public that, “They eat, they take care of themselves; I hope that everything will be okay with them.”

We are all thankful for the presence of Mrs. Klaudia, and this story is definitely a product of what we call "someone being in the right place at the right time." If it weren't for her, the bag may have drifted further away, and we can't bear to think about what could have happened to those poor kittens!
