This Laundromat Has An Adorable Staff Member Who Loves To Take Naps On The Machines
Cody the golden retriever has turned a neighborhood laundromat into a place people actually look forward to visiting. While his dad handles closing duties, Cody claims the washing machines as his own personal nap spot, and customers seem perfectly happy to let him run the show.
His family says he has always had a mind of his own, which makes this nightly routine feel almost too fitting. Between the treats, the cuddles, and the attention from customers, Cody has settled into a role that suits him just fine.
And once you see him lounging on the machines, it is easy to understand why he has become the laundromat's unofficial star.
Cody, the golden retriever, is a valued member of staff at Larkin Street Laundromat.

Cody's family says he has always been an independent fellow. "His motto has always been: 'I do what I want,'" Stephanie said.
So, this arrangement works brilliantly for Cody. He loves the attention and doesn't mind getting paid in treats and cuddles one bit!
Just look at that face!
Cody can be found taking a nap on top of the washing machines around closing time each night.

It's a hard job, but someone's gotta do it!
Cody loves his job and enjoys all the attention he receives from customers.

The laundromat isn't the only business with a dog on staff. Many companies encourage the inclusion of pets at work!
Take Amazon, for example. If you visit Amazon's headquarters in Seattle, you are almost guaranteed to see at least one pup.
In fact, there are usually up to 6,000 dogs on the premises at any given time! Okay, how do we get a job there?
This is the same kind of daily joy as when UPS drivers meet adorable dogs on delivery day.
People come from all over the place just to see Cody!

And he's even become the subject of some funny memes.
Laundromat dog doesn't judge!
Ice cream is the best after-work snack!
Keep smiling, Cody!
Cody enjoys keeping a close watch over the customers from his special vantage point. He has the best view from up there, and he loves it.
"I think he likes how he can see everyone at eye level when he's on top of the washers," Stephanie said. "He's also kind of snobby for a dog, so I have a theory he likes to feel like a king up there."
Cody has become somewhat of a celebrity after his many years of service at the laundromat. People come from everywhere to see him, and he's even become the subject of a few memes.
But Cody hasn't let the fame go to his head. After all, he's the only one who can do his unique job!
