Man Weeps Uncontrollably As He Watched Two Stray Dogs He Rescued Depart For Shelter Homes
One of the nicest people on the planet had to make a tough call. He contacted Hope For Paws Shelter and informed them about two stray Pit Bulls he had been caring for close to his home.
He couldn’t adopt them, as he had another small dog and was unsure they’d get along well. The male dog was terrified, and it took some time for him to trust the caring man.
When the rescuers arrived, the female walked up to them and cheerfully greeted them. She devoured her snack, wagging her tail as she ate, while the male dog stayed behind, most likely because he was curious and terrified.
The gentleman later named them “George and Irene,” and he desperately wanted to take them home with him. In fact, he believed that by allowing the rescue to take him, he was betraying George, who had a difficult time getting along with people and only trusted him.
The good man started crying. It was a very emotional situation because he felt so terrible that he had gained his trust and would now be betraying him.
“I’m sorry, bro,” he said as he caressed his head. “Please accept my heartfelt apologies.”
He knew the two dogs would have a better life, but he was torn about parting with them. He adored them and fed and loved them as much as he possibly could.

Neighborhood children threw stones at George and Irene while they were starving and homeless. It wasn’t the way any dog should have lived.

Irene is George’s moral support, and she always stays by his side. Irene protected her best friend by standing guard outside his pet carrier.
Irene was beaming because she knew she was on her way to a better life and had her best friend by her side to celebrate. It was a joyous ride to a brighter future with her best friend, George.
“I feel so horrible. I gained his trust, and now I’m backstabbing him.”

Irene is all smiles because she knows she’s headed towards a better life

Back at the dog shelter, the dogs were given a bath before being examined by a veterinarian. Sadly, George was diagnosed with bone malignancy!
Because it was diagnosed so early, he was able to undergo amputation. In many ways, that caring man saved George!
George is diagnosed with bone cancer, but he’s been able to have a life-saving surgery

The vet had to surgically remove one of George’s legs to prevent the malignancy from spreading, but he was fine afterward. Dogs perform admirably on three legs, and some can even outrun those on four!
When Irene sees George, her tail and happy cries say it all!

When George was well enough to be discharged from the hospital, he was reunited with his best friend. Irene’s tail and joyful cries said it all when she saw George!
George is starting to warm up to everyone he meets

Both dogs have begun to receive excellent care, and they are being taught how to be pets rather than ‘street dogs.’ George began to warm up to everyone he met, and he realized that most people are good and that it is safe to trust them.
George and Irene are a bonded pair who were fortunately adopted out together. Please give us your reactions and comments in the comments section below.
