Adorable Dog Who Is Blind and Deaf Finds Love Again as She Slow Dances with Her Mom Daily
Beanie’s story is the kind that makes a simple daily routine feel extraordinary. A blind and deaf rescue dog who once kept her distance has slowly learned to trust again, one gentle dance at a time.
Julie Elrod brought Beanie home from Rescue Dogs Rock in 2018, and the two have built their bond through touch, patience, and a lot of slow swaying around the house. What started as a fearful adjustment has turned into a daily ritual that Beanie now seems to look forward to.
And the sweetest part is that the dog who once ran from affection now melts into the arms of the person who never gave up on her.

Elrod said Beanie now trusts her completely, as she relaxes comfortably and melts into her arms whenever they slow dance. "I do not care what appointments I have or who I am supposed to meet; I make time every single day to slow dance with my best friend and soulmate," Elrod said.

Before Elrod came into the picture, Beanie's journey was a difficult one. However, through Elrod's hard work and persistence, the dog has come a long way.

Elrod added that "she had no idea about housebreaking. She did not like to eat, so even now, we have to hand-feed her."
It echoes Echo the deaf, limited-sight dog, and the toddler who took her for a walk.
She Shows Me That She Loves Me in Different Ways

The little Beanie has now been with Elrod for four years and still does not give kisses or wag her tail. Beanie is always in Elrod's arms pretty much 24 hours a day.
Wherever she goes, Beanie follows, and she shows Elrod she loves her in different ways.

The dog has now found a happy ending, but Julie says that it's Beanie who has changed her life for the better, as she wouldn’t trade being Beanie’s mom for anything.
"I love her so unconditionally and infinitely. Beanie is my soulmate dog, and I thank God for every second I have with her. No amount of time I have with her will ever be enough," she said.
