Happy Moment Tawny Owl Mom Whose Eggs Failed to Hatch Welcomes Orphan Chicks as Her Own
A rescued tawny owl named Luna had already been through heartbreak before, and this year brought more disappointment when her eggs still did not hatch. Then, just when her nest seemed to hold nothing but bad luck, two orphaned owlets arrived and changed everything.
The tiny chicks had fallen from a straw stack in a field, and they were far too young to survive on their own. Robert E. Fuller stepped in, placed them in Luna's nest, and hoped the exhausted owl would accept them as her own.
What happened next turned a sad season into a surprisingly sweet one. Read on.
A rescued owl tried so hard to become a mom, but unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned

Robert believed that Luna might take in two extremely tiny orphaned owlets in need of assistance when he received a phone call about them. When he went to relocate the bales, the chicks living in the straw stack out in the field fell to the ground.
A British artist, wildlife conservationist, and rehabilitator decided to help her
He [the farmer] did not know that the owls were nesting there, as tawny owls are notoriously secretive. In fact, the two owl babies were less than two weeks old, and they had little chance of surviving without their mother.

Robert then took both of them, placed them in Luna's nest, and waited for her to return. Amazingly, the owl reacted by rushing to take the young chicks "under her wing" as if they were her own.

The owl’s dream of becoming a mom finally came true
The artist, who transformed his garden into a haven for small species, said that after a long wait, Luna the tawny owl is now a mother. "Not only did her eggs fail to hatch this year, but she also lost her clutch last year," he added.
"What shall I name Luna the tawny owl's foster babies?"
Robert was keeping a watch on Luna and the two owlets, but it turned out that everything was going well for everyone.

The two helpless chicks discovered the solace and affection that only a mother could provide, and the owl's desire to be a mother was finally realized. The man wrote:
"Tawny owl mom, Luna, is so tender with her foster chicks. They’ve been with her for nearly a week, and they are thriving."
