Concerned Citizens Rescue a Calico Cat Left in the Middle of the Street While Giving Birth
When you see abused or neglected animals, it makes you wonder why some people are cruel to them. These poor, innocent creatures haven't done any harm to these humans.
So why do they take pleasure in abusing them? According to experts, people who abuse animals are often victims themselves or have a tendency to harm fellow humans in their next attempt at abuse.
People harming a living being is a cause for concern. Fortunately, there is hope for these abused creatures.
There are concerned citizens who are willing to help, animal shelters ready to take them in, and humans who want to give them their forever homes. Today, we're looking at the story of Amelie, a beautiful calico cat with brilliant golden eyes.
She was giving birth to more kittens when a disturbed individual did something preposterous. They placed the poor cat, who was in labor, in a fabric bed and left her on a traffic circle in a London suburb.
With vehicles passing by, she could have bolted off. Fortunately, the protective mother cat did not leave her three kittens behind.
Finally, some kind-hearted passers-by found them and surrendered them to the Celia Hammond Animal Trust. With these cats in good hands, they will finally have their happy ending.
This is one of the traffic circles in the eastern London suburb (not the actual location where the calico was found).

Thank goodness the cat stayed in the middle of the traffic.
She could have been run over by the passing vehicles; it's almost a miracle!
Clearly, this mom was protecting her kitties. She didn't abandon them just to save herself.
The calico and her kittens finally arrived at the animal shelter, where she would have access to veterinarians who would take good care of her. At first, Amelie's doctor suspected that she still had one more kitten inside her.
The only way to find out was through an X-ray. When the results came back, it was confirmed that there were no more kittens on the way.
The mother cat and her kittens stayed within the fabric bed where they were found. According to the shelter, Amelie seemed to be very attached to it.

Amelie finally has a forever home!
People on social media could not believe what happened to the poor cats. They were shocked that someone had the nerve to leave them to die.
At the same time, they were thankful for the cats' rescuers. They were even impressed by Amelie's bravery and protectiveness.
Among the comments was an update on the calico cat and one of her beloved kittens. They finally found their forever home.
Finally, they are on their road to happiness. Amelie's two kittens were also rehomed.

Now that they've found their forever homes, they'll never face such abuse and neglect ever again.
It's always heartwarming to hear stories about rescued cats who were given another chance at having a good life. Thanks to the rescuers, the shelter, and the humans who took them in, all the cats will live happier and healthier lives.
