Luck Smiles On A Stray Dog Who Lived In A Dump Site And Once Begged People To Adopt Him
Saving animals is not an easy task; in fact, it is perhaps one of the hardest things to do.
There are many stray animals scattered everywhere, and starting to rescue all of them is no simple feat. That is why people are encouraged to take in any stray animals they find or, alternatively, send them to places where they can receive proper care.
Rescue organizations and shelters are doing their best to save these unfortunate creatures! If luck smiles on them, these animals are adopted and find a permanent home, but it is not always possible to save every animal out there.
Therefore, these organizations can only do their best. This story exemplifies that, as it tells the tale of a sweet dog who was living in a garbage dump.
This dog is named Hercules, and he would race to welcome anyone who came to dump their refuse, pleading for them to take him home with them. Sadly, nobody did! In fact, he became known as the dog who would greet anyone discarding their rubbish by bouncing on their vehicle.
Amanda Cunefare, a volunteer for an organization in Turkey called Rescuers Without Borders (RWB), stated that there were more than 800 dogs living there.
Hercules would race to welcome anyone who came to dump their refuse, requesting that they take him along with them back home.

Imagine having hundreds of animals living in a refuse dump with no one to care for them or attend to their needs. Picture these animals enduring heartbreaking conditions, with no food available and the cold surrounding them!

It’s truly heartbreaking to see these animals and realize that there are so many more out there who have no place to call home. All they can do is fight for survival while waiting and hoping that someone will take them in one day.
It’s truly heartbreaking to see these animals wandering and suffering.

For about four years, a young Turkish lady named Gocke Erdogan cared for the dogs at the refuse dump. This benevolent lady also attempted to rehome them whenever possible. Fortunately, RWB joined Gocke to help the homeless dogs.

Fortunately, they have successfully rescued 47 dogs and provided them with new homes. They wished to rehome everyone at that time, but it was a challenging mission. Cunefare decided to take Hercules into her care and chose to adopt him. Luckily, she figured out how to transport him to the United States to live with her.
Someone is excited to go to his new home.

These rescue organizations visit various locations where they find homeless or lost animals and take them into their care. Shelters are doing their part as well.
