Sweet, Small Dog Returns Home On A Rainy Day With A Stray Kitten In Need Of Rescue
We humans have a natural instinct to help others when they are in some sort of trouble. But seeing a dog do the same is just heart-melting.
You can't even know if your pet is capable of such a generous act until you see it with your own eyes. It surely makes owners the proudest people on the whole planet, and they should be, for they have done a wonderful job with their pets.
This tiny dog showed us that heroes can be anyone if they want to be. Her owner has shared her entire heroic story with us.
The dog named Hazel managed to save the helpless kitten by herself and provide it with a second chance at life. It was an unexpected but lovely deed.
Hazel is a lovely dog from Abilene, Texas, where she lives with her owner. The owner, Monica Burks, adopted her when she was just a few weeks old.
She felt a connection the first moment she saw Hazel. Since then, Hazel has constantly filled her owner's heart with joy and happiness.
Hazel is a friendly 3-year-old Yorkie-Chihuahua mix. She is also very kind and polite.
She always goes out for her needs, regardless of the weather. So she did this time when she showed us what a great heart she has.
She went out alone while it was raining, but she returned home with a helpless little friend who needed help. The dog's owner, Monica, never thought that her furry friend would be a saving hero, but she was very touched by the scene she witnessed.
Hazel in Her Heroic Action.
Since it was raining, Monica expected her dog to take a short walk and come home shortly. After some time, she started to worry about what was happening; Hazel had stayed outside too long.
Monica thought that Hazel might have gotten lost, or even worse. She never assumed that her dog would bring a vulnerable friend home.
Hazel Made Sure to Bring the Kitty Home Safely.
While walking, Hazel noticed the little stray kitten out in the rain. She approached her to comfort her and probably to see what was happening.
As soon as Hazel realized that the kitten was in trouble, she started giving signs for the kitten to follow her, and she did. Hazel ensured that the kitten got home safely.
On their way home, Hazel kept turning around to check if the cat was following her.
Monica Was So Proud When She Realized What Her Dog Had Done.
Monica was surprised to see this lovely moment on camera. She waited to see where her adorable dog would place the kitty, and it was clear that Hazel wanted to provide her with a warm place to stay.
“There must be something called pure love. I saw Hazel’s maternal instincts come to light!” said Monica.

Monica didn't waste any time and tried to find a home for this little kitty as soon as possible. On the same day, the kitty found a forever home and someone who would take care of her, thanks to Hazel.
The kitty was adopted by Monica's brother, Michael, and he named her Sheba.
