Sad Shelter Dog Gets Adopted, And Her Happiness Is Simply Heartwarming
Ava was utterly heartbroken when she arrived at the Hoke County Animal Shelter in North Carolina. She had been brought there by her former owner, and the life she knew had suddenly come to an end.
It was obvious that she was suffering. But then, as suddenly as her new life had ended, her happy new life began. She was adopted, and her happiness as she left the shelter could melt hearts.
It was Kristi Pylant's shift when Ava was admitted. It was clear that the poor dog needed help, and she did her best to make the transition easier.
"She was absolutely terrified and sad, understandably," Pylant says. "After spending time with her, we became buddies."

Pylant took Ava in, and now she was responsible for introducing her to her new family.

Here is the video:
Ava gave her paw to Pylant — as if she were trying to say, “Thanks and bye!”
"It was so sweet for her to offer me her paw when she was getting adopted," Pylant says.
Ava is now happy in her new loving home, and the sad shelter episode was just that — an episode.
