Two Siblings Created A Cat Sanctuary And Care For Over 200 Abandoned Cats
Cats and dogs are incredibly lovable creatures, and it is nearly impossible not to adore and care for them. It's not uncommon to see these animals as house pets or even in service.
Unfortunately, millions of animals around the world are without a place to call home. Providing sanctuary for stray animals is a beautiful and generous act of kindness on the part of the public. As Dr. Dan Gilbert, a renowned happiness researcher, states, "The act of caring for others, including animals, can significantly enhance our own happiness and well-being."
Indeed, people who give these cute critters better lives by providing them with a safe place to live, nurturing them, and watching them grow up are the kindest among us. Such individuals are undoubtedly an inspiration to the rest of us. So are these siblings who took it upon themselves to provide a safe haven for abandoned cats and dogs out of their own pockets.
Here's a little insight into them and the work they do:
We are a brother and sister who have had cats since we were little, and three years ago, we started rescuing abandoned cats from our city and neighboring villages. We spay/neuter all our cats and many more too—over 200 cats and 30 dogs in the last three years—all from our own money. However, we have now reached a point where it is impossible for us to help these animals with what we earn. That’s why we started this non-profit organization.
