Unwanted "Kangaroo" Dog Born With Six Legs Finally Gets Adopted By Teenager Who Is No Stranger To Being Bullied
Roo may look like a puppy with a quirky hop, but her story starts with a much bigger problem. The eight-week-old Labrador mix was born with six legs, including two extra ones at the front, and that unusual condition put her at risk before she ever had a chance to settle into a home.
When 15-year-old Luke spotted Roo being advertised online, he and his mother, Lauren Salmon, knew they wanted to adopt her right away. They also understood that if no one stepped in, the breeder might have her euthanized because of her deformity.
Then Roo bounced out to greet them, and the family saw just how much life she had in her. Read on.
Roo is an eight-week-old Labrador mix who got her name from a kangaroo

Lauren tells Fox News that Roo is full of puppy energy, so they would describe her as placid yet playful.
Roo was actually born with six legs – two extra ones in the front

Lauren further added that there are very few dogs like Roo out there. "I think the breeders kill them off because they’re not worth anything, but to us, she’s priceless," Lauren says.
Lauren Salmon’s 15-year-old son, Luke, was the one to notice Roo being advertised online

Since Roo stepped into her new home, she and Luke have become inseparable buddies.
Luke’s already dealt with bullies, and it gets even messier when a girlfriend chooses fostering a puppy over her boyfriend’s no-pets apartment rule.
That connection made the adoption feel even more personal.
Roo has also gained a new doggie sibling, as well as two cats and two rabbits!

However, he now has a close companion, and so does Roo. In addition to finding a forever home with loving pawrents, Roo has also gained a new dog sibling, along with two rabbits and two cats!
Now, that is one big happy family.
