From the moment of her birth, Sasha found herself under the compassionate care of Marie DeMarco, a dedicated special needs cat rescuer. Marie's rescue organization, FURRR 911, specializes in nurturing orphaned kittens with a bottle and providing care to cats with various medical challenges.
These special cases are endearingly referred to as "perfectly imperfect" by Marie, and Sasha, being a dog with unique needs, found a loving and understanding home in their care.

During her illness, Sasha displayed symptoms of fever, nasal congestion, vomiting, an infected eye, and weight loss. For a tiny pup barely tipping the scale at just over a pound, losing any more weight was not an option.
