After being orphaned when a construction site destroyed her family’s home, Thumbelina was taken in by a caring family and quickly became part of the household. This time, the surprise waiting for her was an avocado, and her reaction is exactly as sweet as you would hope.

Christina's mom told The Dodo:
“She was in shock for a moment, and then her eyes lit up as she dug in. She’s only allowed to have a little bit at a time, but it was Christmas, and Santa wanted her to have it, so she got a few extra bites before we took it away to save for later.”
That gift did not stay unopened for long.
That rescue vibe is similar to the woman who saved an abandoned baby animal, leaving everyone stunned.

Thumbelina's family plans to release her back into the wild one day, once it is safe enough for her.
