Woman Shares Her Pregnancy Journey With Her Cat That Is Also Pregnant
Lauren Maners was already deep into her own pregnancy when a roadside rescue turned into something far more unexpected. What started as a simple act of kindness quickly became a story about timing, luck, and a cat that was carrying kittens of her own.
After finding the stray and taking it to the vet, Lauren learned the cat was very pregnant, and she decided to bring it home and care for it. The connection only got sweeter when Lauren realized they were both preparing for birth at nearly the same time.
That unlikely bond made this rescue feel almost meant to be, and the photos that followed only made the story more memorable.
Pregnancy is not an easy journey, and most women seek support from fellow pregnant women to keep them calm and comforted until the big moment arrives.

This woman, however, found that kind of connection with a cat that is also pregnant.

It all started with a roadside rescue that turned into a very unexpected friendship.
Here's how they ended up in each other's arms.

Lauren Maners was already nine months pregnant when she found this cat lying on the side of the road while driving home.
The cat was a bloody mess, but it was still breathing, so she took it to the vet. Fortunately, they were able to save it from its dire situation.
The vet, however, couldn't keep the cat, especially after discovering that it was very pregnant. Lauren had a decision to make.

That timing made the whole thing even more unbelievable.
Shortly after the cat's veterinary care was settled, Lauren decided to keep the cat to ensure its safety.
She also wanted to ensure that the cat would be able to deliver her babies safely and healthily. “So I took her home because us pregnant girls gotta stick together,” she said on her TikTok account.

She admits she was not even a cat person.
She grew up with most of her nine siblings allergic to felines, as well as her father, so she never anticipated having a cat—and its babies—in her life. She just wanted to make sure that the cat and its babies would be taken care of.

After the cat gave birth, Lauren ensured that it was spayed, dewormed, fattened, and allowed to recover from its previous tragic state.
She made sure the kittens were well attended to as well.
Then came the part that made the story feel almost too perfect.
This is also the kind of pressure faced in the AITA debate where someone refused to get rid of their cats for a pregnant best friend.
There's just one thing that made this connection even more awesome and sweet: both the cat and Lauren gave birth at the same time!
“We ended up having our babies at the same time, and our babies became the best of friends!”
It must be fate, right?

Here's a photo of Lauren's baby and one of the kittens together.

That photo says everything without needing much explanation.
Lauren couldn't keep the cat, but she made sure she and her little kittens would be in a loving home.
She had a rigorous selection process to ensure that they wouldn't fall into the wrong hands. In the end, Lauren gave them to different people she knew so they could still visit them from time to time.
Was this rescue just a coincidence, or something a little more special?
