Woman Spends Hours Looking For Her Dog - And Then Spots It Hiding In Plain Sight
Mixie was hiding in plain sight, and her owner had no idea. What started as a routine day at home turned into an hour-long search for a dog that was, quite literally, right there the whole time.
Melisa Lundstrom was doing chores when she noticed one of her dogs sitting on a fluffy black rug. Then she realized she had not seen Mixie in a while, and the panic set in. She searched the house, called for her, and kept looking until she finally circled back to the rug.
That’s when the missing dog mystery got a lot funnier, and a little more relatable for anyone who has ever missed something obvious.

For them, she was never lost. However, some good came out of this little nerve-testing incident, Lundstrom will know from now on where to look for Mixie if she ever “disappears” again.

Lundstrom shared a video of the “incident” on TikTok with the caption: “I’ve been looking for this crusty dog for over an hour.”

2. They’re Afraid
If there’s something scary going on, dogs love to find a hiding spot. A bed or table might be a great place for them to hide.
3. They’re Physically Ill or Injured
If they’re not feeling well, they might find a place to hide.
4. They’re Looking For Food
There’s often an easy explanation for why dogs spend so much time under the kitchen table in particular: they know they might find food there.
5. They’ve Found Something They Shouldn’t Have
Your dog may have discovered a treat or food that fell on the floor, and they’re trying to hide it under a bed or table. Some dogs will...[truncated]
